Inner HarbourInner Harbour (4) in front of the Empress Hotel (2). In the summer months the lower causeway has sidewalk artists and entertainers performing during the day and evening.



Parliament Buildings(1), the capital building of British Columbia. You can tour the Parliament Buildings or attend "Question Period" during the day and see the building in lighted splendour at night.

The Royal B.C. Museum (3), the showpiece of B.C.'s natural and cultural history. Next to it is Queen Victoria StatueThunderbird Park, one of the world's finest collections of totem poles.

Bastion Square and the Maritime Museum, rich in natural history and home of the converted dugout canoe "Tillicum" which sailed from Victoria to London in 1901.

Government Street, Trounce Alley with their Victorian facades, shops and boutiques.

Market Square (5), built during the Gold Rush when it housed the hotel, saloon and brothel, now is filled with shops facing the inner courtyard.

E&N Railway Station with daily early morning departures up-island to Courtney.

Chinatown and Fan Tan Alley (7), Canada's oldest Chinatown.

Esplanade (6) across the Johnson St. Bridge and along the water's edge, a scenic 4 km. ocean walk to the West Bay Marina.
