Scholefield Bed and Breakfast Victoria BC

"A well-worn brass knocker and twist bell on the front door of Scholefield House announces arrivals to this charming 1892 Italianate residence on Vancouver Street."
Boulevard, the magazine of urban living. July 1998

Step inside and you'll discover a truly Victorian Bed and Breakfast fully restored to its original style and turn-of-last century elegance but with all of the amenities of the 21st century.

Scholefield House Bed and Breakfast offers complimentary five-course breakfast in the Parlour each morning in front of the wood-burning fireplace. The gourmet breakfasts feature such things as delectable omelettes, eggs florentine, french toast with brie, and freshly baked breads. Plates are accented by herbs and edible flowers from our English garden.

Scholefield House provides a private library as befits the original owner who was a provincial librarian and historian. The library features wingback chairs, settee, and Victorian art, affording guests the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as they relax, make plans or browse through menus. The bookcases teem with a wide variety of volumes, both new and old, popular and esoteric. The guest bedrooms conveniently surround this sitting room.

The English garden with its roses, herbs, and flowers is on the south side of the house. Some of these herbs and flowers are used to decorate the breakfast plates and flavour the food each morning.

All in all, we promise to make your stay in Victoria relaxing, enjoyable and memorable at the Scholefield Bed and Breakfast.

If romance is on your mind, either a honeymoon, anniversary or just a special moment, we'll do our best to make this a special memory.
